My professional background includes being a: Labor/Delivery + Mother/Baby Registered Nurse, Lactation Consultant, and Infant CPR instructor.
I always believed being a Mother/Baby nurse would have prepared me well enough to become a mother. Well, I was very very wrong. The shock of being a new parent hit me hard & I realized I lacked a sense of community as well.
I went searching for parent classes in my area with little luck. The type of class where I could learn what I needed to know, but also vent & talk about what I was struggling with and so…The Parent Pad was born.
